FEBRUARY 2026: LOUISIANA CENTER FOR CHILDREN'S RIGHTS - CELEBRATION FOR CHILDREN'S RIGHTS

About Our Work:
LCCR protects the constitutional right to an attorney for more than 90% of New Orleans’ children in the juvenile legal system – 541 children in FY25. Additionally, through our partnership with the East Baton Rouge Office of the Public Defender, we provided social work support to another 165 children last year. We’re so much more than a nonprofit law office though. We meet our kids at a moment of crisis and provide the wraparound services necessary to leave the legal system behind for good. We help our kids enroll in school, secure special education supports, access job training, and address trauma.

As a result, more kids are staying in their homes, schools, and communities, and staying out of prison. This means healthier young people, safer neighborhoods, and saved taxpayer dollars. We’re continually inspired by the strength of our kids and how, working with LCCR’s programming, they build brighter futures for themselves.

About the Event:
The Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights is turning 20! Since 2006, LCCR has helped thousands of arrested children achieve the safety and stability necessary to grow up healthy and leave the legal system behind for good. In doing so, we have become a nationwide leader in showcasing what an effective response to youth arrest can and should look like. Join us as we celebrate our 20-year legacy of changing young lives, and our communities, for the better.

This cocktail reception fundraiser will be held on Thursday, April 2 (6-8:30pm) at The Building, a beautiful art space located at 1427 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. (just across from the Jazz Market). Business or business casual attire preferred. Estimated attendance: 250.

Epiphany Anglican Church is a member of the Anglican Church in North America, and a daughter church plant of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lewis Center. We value being rooted in a local diocese for the sake of support, accountability, and collaboration. We are resident in the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.

Our Anglican identity means that we are part of a global family of Christians who are committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, and to faithful worship. We value the structure and beauty of written prayer. We seek the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit, and we desire to continue reaching out through witness and evangelism to invite all people to know and love Jesus Christ. We are committed to the historic doctrines of the Church as outlined in the Fundamental Declarations of our Province.
